Audio post with 1 note

Almost 10 years ago, in memory of my mom, Annette Furtwengler, I was able to recruit friends Dave Stoecker (guitar), Roger Pugh (bass), Bill Lancaster (drums), Emi Krapf (violin), & the Unity Point School Choir director by Leslie Chapman to record a cover of Happy Christmas (War is Over) by John Lennon & Yoko Ono for a holiday CD that was produced to raise money for the American Cancer Society. I’ve had a chance to play around with the mix a little bit. I hope you enjoy it and that you enjoy the holidays.

Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

It’s not only good for nostalgia, but a lesson in arranging. For instance, check out “Asphalt Jungle.” There are some really outstanding arrangements on this collection.
